This module provides the actions and functions that don't really fit into the other modules. These include:

Creating and removing users and groups
Specifying the permissions that users and groups have to SchoolPRO
Updating the SchoolPRO system
Setting system availability options

This module should only be used by the SPA (SchoolPRO Administrator). The SPA should usually be the resident 'computer guru' since extra computer and network knowledge makes administering SchoolPRO much easier.

This is especially true when setting permissions for various users and groups. SchoolPRO uses a similar approach to assigning permissions on network servers.

Updating and Upgrading
SchoolPRO provides a method for upgrading and updating the software installed on the local PC and on the server.

Security on three levels
SchoolPRO security can be configured on three different levels: files, forms and tables.

File Security
SchoolPRO would normally be installed on a file server. File servers provide the ability to grant or deny access to its files on a user by user basis. Because the SchoolPRO data is grouped into separate files it is possible to give users access only to the files they require
Forms Security
This method actually secures both forms and reports in the client modules. It allows the SPA to specify which reports and forms the user is allowed to view.
Table Security
Securing the SchoolPRO tables in the server data files allows for the finest level of permission setting. Each user and group can be given read, modify, full or no rights to each table.

Maintain a very fine level of security
Uses a familiar network operating system approach
Maintain any number of users and groups.
